First Plan Starter

LifeStage Choices is a suite of healthcare plans designed to give you the best cover for the healthcare services you are most likely to need at your particular stage in life. First Plan Starter offers cover for hospital care in public hospitals and cover for a limited range of day-to-day medical expenses subject to an excess of €250 all wrapped up in one plan. First Plan Starter also provides limited maternity cover.

Hospital Cover

Full cover for a semi-private room and treatment in public hospitals.

Full cover for day care procedures in all public hospitals.

Full cover for out-patient procedures provided by Vhi Homecare (subject to specified criteria).

Stress related cover

Full cover for 100 days stress related and psychiatric in-patient care in accordance with your plan held.

Care outside Ireland

€65,000 for emergency treatment abroad (while on holidays abroad for less than 180 days)

Elective treatment abroad (* Subject to prior approval and satisfaction in full of specified criteria)

Access to a 24 hour medical phone service with an English speaking medical expert

Maternity benefits

Up to €381 for hospital accommodation in public hospitals.

You are also entitled to free cover for your newborn baby until your next renewal date.

Your day-to-day cover

(subject to an annual excess of just €250 and an annual benefit maximum of €1,000).

Terms And Conditions

Child rates apply to children under 18 years of age. Student rate, where applicable, applies to any dependent over 18 and under 21, in full time education.
All amounts displayed are net of tax relief, which has been deducted at source.
Vhi Healthcare members do not pay surcharges on any instalment payments. The price remains the same whether you pay monthly or yearly.
